Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or any cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh minced garlic as a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Prep the Chops: Start by patting the pork chops dry with a paper towel. This step helps to get that perfect sear!
  2. Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the Chops: Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chops, making sure they’re well coated! This is where I experimented with flavors. You might want to add a bit of chili powder for heat or some brown sugar for sweetness!
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  5. Air Fry the Chops: Place the pork chops in the fryer basket, making sure they’re not overcrowded. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. They should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Rest and Serve: Once done, remove the chops and let them rest for 5 minutes before digging in. This resting period ensures juicy chops!
