- Preheat your air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onions, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape your patties: Use your hands to shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. You should have around six patties.
- Prepare for cooking: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Add your patties: Place the tuna patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
- Air fry the patties: Cook at 400°F for about 10 minutes. Flip the patties halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
- Check for doneness: Once cooked, the patties should be golden brown and crispy on the outside. Adjust cooking time if necessary.
- Serve hot: Drizzle with lemon juice and serve warm with your favourite dipping sauce!
