  • 2 tuna steaks about 6 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon for garnish
  • Substitutions: If you don't have tuna steaks you can use canned tuna, but the cooking method will change slightly. Also, feel free to replace olive oil with avocado oil or melted butter.

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels, then brush the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the steaks.
  3. Place the seasoned tuna steaks in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
  4. Cook for 8–10 minutes, depending on how well done you like your tuna (8 minutes for medium-rare).
  5. Once done, carefully remove the tuna steaks and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Garnish with lemon and enjoy!
