- Prepare the Salmon: If using fresh salmon, make sure to cook and flake it beforehand. Canned salmon makes it super easy, just drain and place in a mixing bowl.
- Mix Ingredients: Add breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, beaten egg, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the salmon. Mix everything well until it’s combined nicely.
- Form the Patties: Scoop about a quarter cup of the mixture and shape it into a patty. You should be able to get around 8 patties from this mixture.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare for Cooking: Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with cooking spray to avoid sticking.
- Cook the Patties: Place the salmon patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches). Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once done, remove them from the air fryer and serve hot. Enjoy with your favourite dipping sauce!
