- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine your chosen fruit filling with sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Stir until the fruit is well-coated, and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Assemble the Pie: Roll out your pre-made crust (if needed) and lay it into your pie dish. Pour the filling into the crust and spread it evenly.
- Top It Off: If desired, cover the pie with another layer of dough (cut slits for steam to escape) or simply fold the edges for a rustic look. Dot the top with butter.
- Air Fry: Place the pie in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 340°F (170°C) for 20 minutes. Check halfway through. If it's browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
- Cool and Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the pie from the air fryer and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
